2nd Unpredictable Vacation

So, two days ago I got back from my hideous holiday. Why 'hideous'? I'll tell you right away just follow the story line.

February 9, 2012
My flight at 11.30 AM. We (mom, me, and my brother) left home at 10 AM and arrived at the airport around 11 AM. We were late and that was really humiliated. I mean... oh I won't tell you. Just forget it. After checked-in, we went to the waiting room. We didn't wait too long until our flight number was called. Said adieu to mom and uncle.

Around 1 PM (Penang 1 hour faster than Medan, although I don't think so) we landed at Penang International Airport. We waited to be pick up by Pak James, a driver from hospital. Oh ya, I forgot to tell you, we heading to Penang cause my aunt and my brother need to be checked. So the person in the hospital sent us a driver to pick us up as usually. We waited so long and the driver didn't answer the call. So we went to the hospital by taxi. I have to admit, Penang is a very presentable city. It's really contrast to Medan.

We arrived in the hospital and my aunt went to register something (I don't know what it is). Then she called my brother to join her. I, who left alone, trying to find anything which interesting. So I decided to see Penang map and memorized it. Too bad, navigation from phone can not be used because of the sim card. So after all the register and administration matters are done, we went to the doctor room. The nurses told us that my brother had to do surgery on his right hand. That was really funny. He was so scared and his face was getting pale and his palm became sweaty.

After that, one of the nurse who waited in that room aka Miss Vicky, brought us to another hospital (to do the operation). We talked so much and honestly, I didn't get her words. Fyi, she talked with English mix with Malayan mix with Hokkian accent. I pretended to be silent but who else response her? My aunt doesn't know English and my brother... he was too scared that he couldn't say a word *sigh*

The operation had done around 6.30 PM. The doctor was professional and pretty funny. I wish all the doctors in Medan act like that so we don't have to spend our money to this country. My brother was okay and he didn't feel any pain (you know you're in drug). Miss Vicky brought us back to the hospital. We met Pak James there and he would take us to the nearest inn (no room left in the hospital). We heading to Seri Malaysia. Imho, the charge was pretty cheap, about RM 125/night (include breakfast, free wi-fi, channel tv, etc). We stayed there for 2 nights.

February 10, 2012
This morning was perfect! Breakfast good, wi-fi outstanding. At 9 PM auntie got to go to hospital. Pak James picked her up. So, me and my brother back to our room and using wi-fi like a boss. We had sandwich, french fries, and vegetable soup for lunch. 4 PM auntie back and we went to the bus station to find ticket to go to Singapore. On the way to bus station, I left our snacks in the taxi. So I called the taxi station which is located at Sunshine Plaza and we went there and thanked God, I wouldn't be famish tonight.

February 11, 2012
Breakfast at 8 AM and Pak James picked us up at 8.30 AM. Bus came around 9.30 AM and said adieu to Penang. At first, we three were the only passengers. Really like a boss. That was my first time traveling country by a bus. We stopped for toilet and lunch. As the bus went by, no more empty seats.

When we arrived at the last bus station in the border areas, we had to get out of the bus and bring our passport to be checked. Afterwards, we went to toilet then back to the bus and... I lost my brother. So frustrating. The driver told us to find it right away cause the other passenger were waiting. Me and my aunt went to the toilet, maybe he had a belly ache so that he stay so long there but we were wrong. He wasn't there. The co-driver helped us to find my brother and zero. Then he said to us "maybe you brother is being arrested for smoking or doing anything else." I know he wouldn't do that. I know him 100%, he doesn't smoking. But what if someone gives him a drug or something like that. You know in that situation I don't know where to go and what to do. Should I just left the bus and find my brother or should I just left him. My aunt was really shocked when the co-driver told us his thought.

Then, the universe was so kind to us. My brother back and we were so relief. We asked him what happen and he told us that he was arrested for taking a picture in the kingdom areas. So... not that smoking thingy :)

We arrived in Singapore at 9 PM and we heading to Hotel 81. Sweet baby Jesus! $189/night without breakfast, wi-fi, or else. I've ever read somewhere that Singapore hotels didn't provide other facilities. They just offer a place to lay your fatigue body. I don't want to live on this land anymore. We would got our room at 10 PM we have to WAIT. So, we left our bags in the receptionist room and went out to money changer. We didn't take a bus, taxi, or MRT. We walked. Singapore's sphere in the evening was elegant. Unfortunately, this city was too quiet. You only found a lot of humans in the restaurant or dinner place. Singapore was such a great country.

February 12, 2012
This morning was suck. Waking up to early, packing too fast, breakfast too disgusting. We have to get out from this city quickly. I didn't find any interest here. I'm bored. We booked tickets to go to KL at 12.30 PM. I know may some of you will say "why don't you go to universal studio?" or "what about the shopping center? I heard that vivo city is good."

Thanked God, we were on the bus heading to KL. I love KL. People were friendly and nice. We spent our first night in Hotel Tai Ichi (RM 177/night, family deluxe room). Perfect. We dinner at Pakistan restaurant. My brother loved it but a big big no to my aunt. Me and my brother couldn't sleep. So we watched Insidious, FF5, Annoying Orange and playing angry birds. That was fun. My aunt couldn't sleep too because we were too noisy. Around 1 AM, we're off  to bed.

February 13, 2012
Peacefully. Breakfast at Dragon... I forgot what dragon but it's Chinese Restaurant located behind our hotel. Afterwards, we looked for new hotel and we got two on the Pudu Road. We checked out from Tai Ichi and checked in to Golden Palace (RM 128/night) free wi-fi, no breakfast. TIPS: If you go to KL and want to find a cheap hotel, go to Pudu road. Second strategic location after Bukit Bintang road.

At noon, we lunch in Chinese stand (similiar to Kedai Pangsit). Then we went to Berjaya Times Square. Next, we walked to KL Tower. We didn't go in, the tickets too expensive (RM 45/person). Afterward, firstly we want to go to Pavilion, then the taxi driver aka Mafi told us Pavilion is the expensive shopping center which is sell branded things. Of course we cancelled our way to Pavilion, so we heading to Petronas Twin Tower. Not that we don't have enough money, we just want to use it wisely. Shopping isn't a good idea right now. Yes, we're holiday but in Medan you'll able to buy branded things too. So... be wise.

Mafi told my brother that he willing to take us to the LCCT the day after tomorrow and it will cost RM 90. Enticement accepted. Twin towers, we're finally meet! Dinner in the same place when we lunch. Then ended this day.

Pabrik Coklat

February 14, 2012 (forever alone days)
Breakfast in KFC. Taste so good and match with auntie's stomach lol. Checked in at V'la Garden (RM 150/night include breakfast, wi-fi). Then we rested in Golden Palace (we haven't check out). At 11.45 AM we went to V'la Garden and rested again.

At noon, my aunt and I went to Berjaya Times Square again. We bought clothes, accessories, and donuts! I couldn't find J.co donuts :( Back to the hotel and went out for dinner. After that, spent the rest of the day in BB Plaza.

February 15, 2012
I woke up late. After breakfast, I slept again. I feel so tired. At 10 AM, Mafi came to pick us and we went to LCCT. We back to Medan by AirAsia. That was my first time fly with AirAsia. I'm so paranoid.

After all, I enjoy my holiday. If I tell you the story directly, I bet you will laugh. I'm so tired for typing this much. So, see you. I promise I'll post regularly.
